Dan Kippley brings more than four decades of business and economic development experience to his work on behalf of Sioux Falls and District 13. Throughout his career, Dan has helped businesses grow, create jobs, and operate more efficiently, from serving in the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development, to leading business development at Knife River, and growing client services as a consultant and a realtor. A graduate of South Dakota State University with degrees in economics and communications, Dan is known as a connector and problem-solver who builds relationships and brings people together. 

A dedicated leader invested in community success and economic growth. 

His professional experience, combined with decades of community involvement and volunteer leadership, gives him a practical, solutions-focused approach to public service and a deep commitment to strengthening schools, growing the local economy, and being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.
